Adult Confirmation

For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed." Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285

St. Monica’s offers Confirmation twice a year for Catholic adults who would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.   

To receive this Sacrament, one must be at least:

• Age 18
• Baptized in the Catholic Church and have received First Holy Communion
• If married, must be married within the Catholic Church. If civilly married, couple must receive the sacrament of marriage before receiving Confirmation.

In order to receive the Sacrament, one must attend three Confirmation classes. Click here for a class schedule.  

To register for the Confirmation classes, please submit an online registration form. A copy of the candidates baptismal and marriage certificate (if applicable) must also be submitted to the Office of Faith Formation.

Candidates must also select a sponsor in conformity with Church guidelines.
