First Reconciliation
Children are prepared to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time when they are in their second year of sacramental preparation and are at least 7 years of age. Children will be prepared to receive the Sacrament of First Reconciliation a few months before they receive First Holy Communion. For the 2010-2011 school year, children will be making their First Reconciliation on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 9 - 11 a.m. in the Church.

First Holy Communion is celebrated when children are at least seven years of age and are in the second grade. According to diocesan policy, children must attend religious education for two consecutive academic years before celebrating this Sacrament. If parents would like for their children to make their First Holy Communion in the second grade, students must be enrolled in Faith Formation classes in the first grade. For the 2010-2011 school year, children enrolled in Faith Formation classes on Sunday will be making their First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Church Schedule of Classes 2009 - 2010 Schedule of Classes 2010 - 2011 |
