TROOP 412 NEWS

February 15, 2008

Weekend Activities:
Saturday - Scouting For Food,
Sunday - Mulch Sales at Mass

Saturday - Scouting For Food

Matthew White is in charge of the Scouting For Food pickup, and requests that all scouts in Class A uniform and a fair number of adult drivers meet in front of the school cafeteria at 10am tomorrow. We will pick up, Rain or Shine.

Of course, the forecasts calls for rain, so bring a rainsuit and an umbrella. That also means that more people will conveniently forget or have other plans, and therefore we really need YOU to help to make up for those slackers. If we have enough participants, this whole thing can be done in less than 2 hours, and maybe closer to 1 hour.

Please remember that this food drive is one of the biggest food collections for the hungry and homeless that is held in Dallas each year.

Sunday - Mulch Sales at Mass

Cary Hunter is in charge of the Spring Fundraiser, and he asks that all scouts plan to come to mass in Class A uniforms. Please show up a few minutes early to check in and get your assignments, and then stay after mass for 10 minutes selling Mulch. We need boys selling at Sat 5:30 mass, as well as Sunday 8am, 9:30, 11, and 12:30. The venture crew will cover the Life teen mass.

Remember, you must check in with Cary in order to get credit for mass sales. This money will help you pay for summer camp and other scout adventures.

See you all tomorrow and Sunday,
Michael Burns
