Contact Information St. Monica currently has 5 active JCDA groups. Each group leader determines the number of girls they can accommodate due to the parental support and involvement of their group. Each group begins working on a religious medal at the start of the school year. If you are interested in joining a group, please contact the leader listed below. If you are interested in starting a new group, please contact the JCDA Group Coordinator.
Meeting Times and Location The various groups meet monthly during the school year. All meetings are held at St. Monica. The younger girls (K – 4th grade) meet after school on the first Friday of each month. The older girls (5th grade & up) meet once a month in the evenings. JCDA Calendar *************TO BE ADDED LATER***************** Parental Involvement/ Safe Environment Parental support is important to have a successful program. Volunteers are needed to help at each meeting and to help chaperone at various service and social activities. For this reason, it is REQUIRED that all volunteers are current with the annual screening process at St. Monica under the Safe Environment Program. Uniforms The younger girls (K – 4th) purchase a blue JCDA VEST to wear over their school uniforms the day of their meetings. Throughout the year, they earn patches for their vest from attendance at meetings and activities. They also purchase a blue JCDA SASH to be worn at various activities and liturgical celebrations. Religious medals earned are worn on the sash. The older girls (5th grade & up) no longer wear the blue vests and earn patches. They wear their blue JCDA SASH when representing our group at various activities and liturgical celebrations. JCDA Pledge I promise to be a faithful member of the Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas. To encourage development of myself as a whole person.
