Baptism

  Baptismal Preparation Classes (Up to 6-years-old - hasta los 6 años)

Classes are held on the first Saturday of each month

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m Spanish

All classes are held in the Library in McManus Hall

Parents and God Parents (sponsors) must attend

If the candidate is over 6-years-old please register for Faith Formation (CCD) here

Requirements for choosing a Sponsor/Godparent

1. Only one sponsor is required but two are permitted.

2. If there are two sponsors, they must be male and female and they cannot be the parents of the child being baptized.

3. Sponsors must be at least 16 years of age.

4. Sponsors must be fully initiated into the Church. This means they have received baptism, confirmation and Eucharist.

5. Sponsors must be practicing Catholics. This means that they receive the Sacraments with frequency and will be good Catholic role models for the person being baptized.

6. If married, sponsors must be married in the Catholic Church. If single, must be following the moral guidelines of the Church
