The Baptized Baptism is the initiation into the Body of Christ, which is the Church. One of the Catholic Church’s principle beliefs is there is one Baptism. Those baptized in another Christian tradition in a Trinitarian (In the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) ceremony are already members of the Body of Christ. The baptized participate in the presentations and reflections along with the never before baptized to grow in knowledge of the Catholic Church and in spirit for the love of God. The Baptized are called Candidates. The period of Purification and Enlightenment follows the Rite of Calling the Candidates to Continuing Conversion. At Easter Vigil the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist they will be received. back to Becoming Catholic |
