I am a Minnesota native and the oldest of six children. As a child, I spent growing up years in Minnesota, Colorado, Wyoming, and finally Michigan, where I graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Economics. Then I moved south to Florida to get warm. I lived in St. Petersburg for 5 years and loved the sunshine. My husband and I moved to Garland and have been here for 31 years. We have two daughters, who attended Good Shepherd Catholic School and Ursuline Academy, and five granddaughters. I spent my life "before children" in the hotel and restaurant business and then enjoyed several years as a stay at home mom- volunteer - etc. My third career began as a part time business manager for Good Shepherd and then in 1997 I was hired by St. Monica. I am very proud to be associated with St. Monica community -we have changed a lot since 1997. I very much enjoy the process of change both at the church and the school- this is truly a wonderful parish/school with leaders over the years who have vision and a community who embraces the vision and goes forward to educate, evangelize and keep growing our faith community on many levels.
