Dear Friends in Christ, “I was hungry and you gave me to eat, thirsty and you gave me to drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me.” These words from the Gospel of St. Mathew come from the mouth of Jesus explaining who will be admitted to eternal life on the day of final judgement. Celebrating our faith, meeting the needs of the poor, nourishing our youth with the word of God, educating our future priests for our parishes, and providing meeting places for fellowship and enrichment programs all fulfill the command of the Lord. Stewardship is a way of life. It means dedicating ourselves to God’s work by sharing the goods he has given us with others through the stewardship drive in our parish and our diocese. Every parishioner has an opportunity to participate in meeting the needs of our parish and diocese. Please prayerfully reflect on what you will be able to contribute to building God’s kingdom during the year 2008. We depend on your generosity to continue the many ways that we fulfill the command of our Lord. In the parable, those who met the needs of the least of the brothers and sisters heard these words from Jesus, “Come you blessed of my Father and enter into the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” Sincerely yours in Christ, Reverend J. Douglas Deshotel Pastor PLEASE MAKE YOUR PLEDGE BY CHOOSING AN OPTION TO THE LEFT.
