Community Service for the Youth

We offer many community service and outreach opportunities throughout the year, and encourage all youth to start making this a lifetime practice.  After all, we are the hands and feet for Christ in today's modern world. We participate in Mission Possible, an annual, diocesan-wide outreach event which takes place in June. Youth also work closely with St. Monica School Outreach Committee so that our young people can volunteer at the agencies we serve, such as the Yam Jam, the Feast of Sharing project, the Angel Tree Project, and St. Vincent de Paul

Mission Possible Service Week- June 14-18th, 2009

Incoming 7-12th graders and graduating seniors of 09'are invited to join in "Mission Possible" 2009 service week with participants from all around the Dallas Diocese….because YOU ARE BEING CALLED!!!

Mission Possible is an Inter-parish, diocesan supported, in town service week.  Each summer our Catholic Community has been blessed to have over 900 participants who are willing to brave the heat and SERVE!!!  Tasks can very from working outside to visiting Children Hospitals and visiting the elderly. 

The week of service will begin with a Youth Rally and Mass as St. Joseph's in Richardson.  The rest of the week we will be meeting at St. Monica Church and will remain at the St. Monica service site each day, as we are joined by teenagers with special needs from the Plano Parks & Recreation Center and their staff members.  The afternoon program will be spent sharing in recreational experiences, new challenges and socialization in a safe environment.

Note.. Cleared parents are needed for the service activities.
