First Reconciliation
Confirmation students must send their saint's report to the Director/Coordinator of Confirmation by the first week of April.
During April, Confirmation students will be assessed on the basic teaching of the Catholic Church and the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please coordinate the time for assessment with the Director of Confirmation.
By APRIL 15th, parents must submit a letter from the student's religion teacher (or letter from the parent, if homeschooled) stating the student is prepared for First Communion. The letter must be dropped off at the office or emailed to Eldie Diaz.
First Holy Communion Retreat and Rehearsal, will be held May 3, 2025, 8:00 am-1 pm. *At least one parent must attend with the student
Confirmation Mass Rehearsals - May 13, 2025, 6 pm. The sponsor and candidate will meet in the D wing.
Confirmation, May 14, 2025, 7 pm. The sponsor and candidate need to arrive at 6 pm in the D wing. Family waits in the church.
First Holy Communion Mass, May 17, 2025; 10 am or 1 pm
NOTE:
St. Monica Catholic Church may delay sacraments if a child is not adequately prepared or if the family does not adhere to the Faith Formation guidelines and requirements for Catholic School and Homeschool students.

Oct. 1 Approval must be requested if seeking an alternative retreat
Oct. 15 Letter confirming preparation for First Reconciliation must be submitted.
Apr. 1 Notification of First Reconciliation due for those not receiving the sacrament in November.
Apr. 15 Letter confirming preparation for First Holy Communion must be submitted.
